The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.
Platforms
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is offered for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the part that matters. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It does be part of your decision.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual sign-up bonus. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
